Dansville Ambulance Honored By The American Legion

Each year ,American Legion posts across the region submit nominees for the American Legion Department of New York State Law and Order and First Responder Awards. The awards programs recognizes Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Corrections and Emergency Dispatchers, who have given above and beyond for their local communities, either through their extended service or a single act or action.

The awards start at the local, county level, winners then move to the District level, then State level. State winners then proceed to the National level.

Tim Collmer, Service Officer from the Daniel Goho Post 87, had seen that the Dansville Ambulance Co., had won the 2019 EMS Agency of The Year for MLREMS, decided to submit the Dansville Ambulance Company for the Emergency Medical Squad Award.

Dansville Ambulance Company was awarded the Livingston County Award, The 7th District Award, consisting of the following counties, Cayuga, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario , Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, and Yates Counties, as well as the New York State award, ( with 10 Districts in NY State). The National Level Award will be announced at a later date.

These awards are representative of the hard work of every member and officer of the agency, and the dedication and personal sacrifice of countless hours serving the our community.

 

Attention Dansville Ambulance Patients:

The Village of Dansville has started Ambulance Billing in conjunction with MedEx Billing Inc. out of LeRoy, NY. The process to start the billing has been a long one. Now that MedEx and the Village have gone through the required steps to begin billing, recipients will start to receive paperwork from MedEx Billing Inc. on behalf of the Village. Any information gathered will then be submitted to the patient's insurance company for payment.
